Using the Rhino-Rack 2 Bike Carrier to Transport 2 Bikes or a Hospital Wheelchair

I am considering the Rhino-Rack 2 bike tilting hitch bike carrier with 2 carry arms. It has good reviews. I want this carrier to haul 2 bikes OR 1 standard hospital wheelchair. Will a wheelchair fot on the carrier arms?

The Rhino Rack 2 Bike Rack, part # RRRBC045 is theoretically able to carry the hospital wheelchair. You'll need to measure the distance between your chair's arms and the length of the arms from the seat to the front of the chair.

For the chair to fit the bike rack, you'll need to have non hinged arms that are at least 15 inches long from front to back, and be able to spread about 4 inches apart. Be aware that because of the weight of the rear wheel, that the wheelchair will put more pressure on the straps opposite of it, as the weight will pull the arm upwards.

Additionally, the total weight of the wheelchair will need to be less than 40 pounds.
