Polar Paddle Handle Locking Latch with Release Installation

Question:

Hi there. I am looking to replace a lock on a storage shed. The dimensions of the PLR5115 are right. but I am unsure as to how the PLR5115 attaches to the door itself, and the length of the latch. The attached pictures show how the current lock attaches to the outside of the door screws along the outside edges and length of latch. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

The Paddle Handle Locking Latch w/ Release - 5-1/2" Long x 4-1/4" Wide - Steel # PLR5115 does not have holes drilled for installation. You would need to drill them for this particular handle. The latch will extend approximately 1/2 inch past the outer mounting flange to latch and is 3/4 inches tall. The suggested cutout from the manufacturer is 3-3/8 tall by 4-5/8 wide.
