How to Wire in an Adapter 4 Pole to 5 Pole Adapter # 47515 For a Reverse Lockout

we need to connect surge breaks to trailer our boat how do we find the feed for reverse lights to convert from 4 pole to 5 pole adaptor to allow for proper operation of surge breaks trailer will not go in revenue without this

The wire you are going to be looking for to activate the reverse lockout feature for your surge brakes will be the wire that powers the reverse light bulbs.
I would recommend you use a circuit tester # 3808 to determine which wire has power when the reverse lights are illuminated and no voltage when the lights are not activated and then use a quick splice Connector # 804C to tap into this circuit and run wire from the quick splice to the 5-way.
