2 Bike Trunk Mounted Bike Rack With Best Visibility for a 2018 Subaru Forester

Your best option for the 2018 Subaru Forester is the Yakima FullBack, part # Y02634. This rack will on any variation of your vehicle, whether it has the electronic liftgate or not.

In general, the trunk mounted racks are going to cause the same problems with visibility behind the vehicle when you add bikes onto the rack. One of the reasons I like the Yakima FullBack is that it already includes all security features and equipment you need integrated into the rack, so you won't have any additional hanging bits blocking your view.

The FullBack also has its large bottom half completely unobstructed when unloaded, so if you have to drive with the rack installed but without bikes, you aren't losing much in the way of visibility.

If you have an alternative frame bike like a Women's, BMX or childrens, then an adapter bar like part # 64005 is useful in helping the bikes ride level on the rack, helping reduce damage. The bike will also sit a little lower, improving your visibility.
