Brake Controller Recommendation for 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 for Install Harness 3016
Question:
I have part #3016, but the OEM trailer gain control is a six port box see photo that plugs into the back. That wire and 6 port is there at the back of the controller. The problem is I cant find the other end to plug into the box to the left of the brake pedal. GMC refuses to help. So nice! And no one else seems to have a clue. Anything? Thanks,

The # 3016 isn't designed to attach to a factory brake controller. If you are looking for a way to complete the wiring of your factory brake controller to your truck we aren't going to have a solution for that, but we can help you get a brake controller installed that is compatible with the harness you do have.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller part # 90195. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. It also plugs right into the # 3016. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes. This will be the last brake controller you buy. It can easily be transferred to future vehicles as well.
