My first step to helping you determine why the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller part # C24VV is not working would be to make sure you are checking the correct fuse that corresponds to the brake controller and its power supply. On your 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 this fuse will be located in the engine bay fuse box labeled as the #1 fuse. You can see this location in the attached photo.
Once you have confirmed that the trailer brake fuse is intact, you will then need to acquire a circuit tester like part # PTW2992. While the vehicle is on you will want to test the power(black) wire running into the controller. If the light illuminates, then the problem is in the wiring harness, and you will need to trace the power wire back as far as possible to ensure there are no shorts or breaks in the line. If the light doesn't illuminate, then the brake controller is faulty and will need to be replaced.
