Helpful Expert Reply:
For your 1400 lb tongue weight on your 3 axle Venture boat trailer, I recommend the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution w Sway Control - Trunnion Bar - 17,000 lbs GTW, 1,700 lbs TW # RP66075. This weight distribution hitch will require a separate 2-1/2 inch shank like the Reese Titan Weight Dist Shank # RP54976 or # RP54977 for a deeper drop.
Your truck is rated for up to 13,200 lbs towing according to Ford, so it can handle this towing capacity.
If you truck has a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver, then I recommend the Strait-Line Weight Distribution w Sway Control - Trunnion Bar - 15,000 lbs GTW, 1,500 lbs TW # RP66130 which will put you at the top of your capacity and will only allow you to load up to 100 lbs behind the rear axle of your truck before completely maxing out your system. This system can use # RP54970 or # RP63971.
