The wires you will need to locate to install the Wiring, part # C59496, on your 2005 Infiniti FX-35 are located behind the tail light assemblies. You may need to remove the tail light assembly and the plastic trim pieces.
You will need to use the included circuit tester to test the wires for function. You will want to have a friend operate the lights, turn signal and brakes while the vehicle is in park, parking brake engaged and the key is in the on position.
The White wire from the converter box is ground and should be connected to a clean metal surface. The Brown wire is tail light function. Yellow will connect to wire that carries left turn signal, and Green to right turn signal on passenger side tail light assembly. The Red wire will connect to stop light or brake function.
Then you will need to disconnect the negative battery terminal. Now, you can run the power wire up to the engine compartment. You will want to feed the wire through a rubber grommet in the trunk floor. I would recommend removing a rubber grommet, cutting a slit in the grommet, feeding the wire through, then reseal the cut you made with silicone. You will want to run the wire along the frame rail, and keep the wire away from heat and moving parts where it could be pinched. You will connect the power wire to the positive battery terminal via the included in-line fuse.
