Hex Nut for a SportRack 4 Bike Hitch Mounted Rack

Question:

I have a sportrack hitch bike carrier. Inside the bar that goes into receiver hitch has an adaptor with a hex nut which the pin goes into. I lost the pin, so I bought a Thule lock and pin, but the bolt needs a half inch hex nut which is to sit in the adaptor. Thanks for any help.

I have a solution for you, however there isn't a direct replacement available anymore for the older SportRack. Additionally, the Thule lock kit, part # THSTL2 is significantly smaller than the SportRack's threads that it won't work with the hitch carrier, as you've experienced.

I recommend purchasing a SportRack Anti-Rattle kit, part # SR0901, which is a larger kit directly made for the fit of the SportRack line of bike racks.
