Brake Controller Installation Location to Avoid Knee Area Air Bag on 2017 Ford Escape
Question:
I have a 2017 Ford Escape AWD/4WD that my installer is trying to put the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional Item # TK90160 into. He is having trouble figuring out where to put the bracket w/o interfering with the knee area air bag. He also is having trouble figuring out where to run the wiring with very little space to access in this model. Thanks!

With knee airbags on your 2017 Ford Escape, the brake controller mounting locations are limited. We always try to find a location that is past where the air bag seams are which may require extending your wiring. Sometimes the lower flat part is the best option.
