B&W Gooseneck Compatibility With Curt Class IV Trailer Hitch Receiver On 1997 Ford F-250 HD
Question:
I have a CURT Class 4 Trailer Hitch #14082 installed on my 1997 F250 HD XL extended cab 8 bed automatic 4x4. Would I be able to leave that in place and install the BW Companion # BWGNRK1100-5W?

The Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1100-5W is a confirmed fit for your vehicle even with the Curt # C14082 hitch receiver installed. This will give you a very nice gooseneck hitch that will also give you a clean bed when not in use.
You can use the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3500 with that gooseneck hitch that serves as an underbed frame.
You may want to consider the 7-Way Pre-Wired Car Connector, 7' Lead # 20023 to put a second 7-way trailer connector in the bed of your truck for your gooseneck or 5th wheel connection.
