Do Konig Tire Chains TH00023100 Drape Over the Tires or Wrap Behind them when Installing
Question:
Just received my Konig chains for my 2017 Honda Accord. The installation instructions on your website start by advising to spread the chain around the back of the tire. I wanted to see a video of the process, so I used a QR reader on the outside of the chain container that lead me to a YouTube video from Konig that clearly shows the installation beginning by putting the chain around the FRONT of the tire. Is this a front vs rear drive issue? Right side vs left sideto keep the hooks and tensioner in an optimal position? Please clarify for me the correct and safest way to install these chains.

The only wrong way to put the Konig tire chains, such as # TH00023100, on the tires would be backwards or inside out. So long as the end result is the same (chains are installed and secured on the tires) the starting out method you choose really doesn't matter. In some cases you may not be able to easily run the chains around the tires like we show. So the bottom line is that it is situational. Try either method and use the one that works best for you. Make sure that blue cable is on the back sides of the tires!
There isn't a left or right or front/rear for these chains. Tire chains in general should always be on the drive wheels so on your 2017 Honda Accord that would be the front 2 wheels.
