Comparison of Timbren's Versus SumoSprings for a 2001 Ford F-250

Question:

So I am trying to decide between a timbren set up or a sumospring for my 2001 f250 7.3 crew cab single rear wheel... To prevent sag when I hook up my 1650lb pin weight 5th wheel... I dont want to go with air bags and love the simplicity of These rubber springs... Which is better and would work better and keeping my truck from sagging.. Mine sags pretty bad on my stock suspension.. I can send pictures if You would like

Expert Reply:

For your 2001 Ford F-250 I recommend using the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TFR250SDE instead of the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-114-54 because the Timbren springs are rated up to 6,000 lbs whereas the SumoSprings are only rated up to 2,800 lbs.

Therefore, the Timbren springs are going to do a much better job of handling the added weight of your 5th wheel trailer. In addition to leveling support, these springs will also improve handling and reduce body roll.

I have attached an installation and review video of the springs for you as well.
