Thule Roof Rack Recommendations for a 2010 Honda Pilot

Question:

Hi- I have a 2010 Pilot and interested in a soft roof rack for the family car. Primary uses would be for: Camping, Skiing, and general storage as we have 3 kids- I prefer the soft rack as it seems a bit easier for storage. Questions include- would it fit skiis or snowboards and which mounting kit will I need to buy if we were to use this device. thanks

To install this Thule Outbound Soft Sided Roof Top Cargo Carrier, part # TH868, you will need to have crossbars that run from side to side on your 2010 Honda Pilot.

If you have factory cross bars then you are ready to go. If you do not have cross bars and have a completely naked roof you will first need a Thule Roof Rack For 2010 Honda Pilot, you need the 60 inch WingBars in either black # TH711520 or silver # TH711500, the EVo clamp feet # TH710501, and fit kit # TH145191.

On the other hand if you have the rails that run front to back on your PIlot's roof then use the Evo raised rail feet # TH710401 instead. You can still use the same 53 inch WingBars.

While this bag can store quite a bit of things it really is not long enough for skis or snowboards. I would recommend a cargo box to carry both your cargo and your skis/snowboards.

For a cargo box I recommend the Thule Force XT Roof Mounted Black Cargo Box, part # TH6358B.
