Troubleshooting Brake Lights on 2009 Hyundai i10
Question:
Hi I have Hyundai i10 2009 Brake lights do not work Checked fuse Replaced brake light switch Replaced brake light bulbs Voltage when car running 14.20 volts At brake light switch in and out Brake lights still not working Somebody said it could be the bcm ??? My wife is severely disabled and need to get Car back on the road in order to pass mot Any help greatly appreciated

On your 2009 Hyundai i10, all I can recommend is using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the wires and follow them all the way back to your tail lights testing them every few feet. If you have power all the way back, then you must have a bad ground on your tail lights and will need to ensure you have a bare metal to metal connection. If you have a BCM in line, then you will know that is the issue if you have power prior to it and no power or reduced power after it. Otherwise it will be a short in the wire or a bad ground.
