Why Is there Time Difference for Install of Curt and etrailer Hitch on 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Why does item e73ZR show an install time of 1:20 and 4/10 difficulty vs C13172 showing an install time of just :40 and 8/10 difficulty? Both appear to need to trim the rear cover, so what makes this one so much more difficult? Thanks,

The install time ratings are not determined by us and are instead determined by the hitch manufacturers. So with that in mind the different companies don't always end up estimating the same amount of install time, even when their hitch designs are so similar they almost seem identical.

So that is why the Curt hitch part # C13172 has a 40 minute install time and the etrailer # e73ZR has an hour twenty minute install time. Based on capacities and the Curt being made in the USA that's the hitch I would go with.
