Recommended Lippert Oil Shock Absorbers for Tandem Axle Trailer
Question:
I have a couple questions. Will adding shocks help with the rough ride that occurs when towing my travel trailer on cement highways that have expansion joints every 10 feet it seems? I am getting jolts and impacts in sync with these expansion joints and it is terrible. My other question is do I need two kits since I have two axles or will installing one kit on one axle solve my problem with cements highways that have expansion joints. Thank you

The Lippert Components Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit w/Heavy Duty Oil Shocks - Fits 3" Axle Tube # LC281281 will take away some of the road expansion joints you are feeling. It will absorb the shock and vibrations to give you a more comfortable drive.
Because you mentioned your tandem axle trailer being 6,000 lb capacity, you may need the Lippert Components Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit w/Heavy Duty Oil Shocks - Fits 2-3/8" Axle Tube # LC281255 instead. I recommend measuring your axle diameter to ensure you get the correct kit.
I recommend getting two kits, one for each axle because each axle hits those joints independently.
