In order to determine if the Yakima Holdup 2, # Y02443, will fit your 2009 Acura MDX you will need to take an important measurement. On the vehicle, measure from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the distance required to clear the rear of the vehicle to get the amount of clearance you will need.

On the HoldUp, it measures 12 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest bike tray when in the down position. When in the folded up position, it measures 7 inches to the nearest tray.

The 2 inch trailer hitch on your Acura is capable of handling the weight of the rack and bikes. The Rack has a capacity of 120 pounds. When you add the extension, # Y02446, or get them together with part # Y02443-2, the 4 bike capacity is 200 pounds and the weight of the rack is 104 pounds.

At capacity, that is a total of 304 pounds. You will need to make sure the tongue weight capacity of the hitch is rated high enough for this much weight.
