At this time there is not an aftermarket brake controller wiring harness available for the 2004 BMW X5 3.0l. If your vehicle has factory original 7-Way RV tow package wiring you will have to contact the dealer to see if there is a brake controller wiring port and mating plug for installation of a brake controller on your vehicle.
If your vehicle is not set up with factory 7-Way RV tow package wiring, you will need the, # 119250KIT, Circuit Protected 4-Way wiring harness, if you do not already have a 4-Way connector, and a Brake Controller Installation Kit, item # ETBC7. We have detailed instructions for both of these kits online, see links, and a video that should be helpful, should you need to install wiring on your vehicle.
