Recommended Motor Kit for Square Jack on Sundowner 2 Horse Trailer with Living Quarters

Question:

I have a Sundowner 2 horse with living quarters horse trailer. Want to put a electric jack on . It has only one leg, and the trailer is 28 ft long. Oh, its a gooseneck. How do I figure out what size of motor to buy. Please and thank you

The Sundowner 2 horse trailers with living quarters usually use a weld on square jack like the Bulldog Square Jack - Drop Leg w/ Spring Return - Sidewind - 12-1/2" Lift - 10,000 lbs # BD182815. To add a motor to this style of jack, I recommend the Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit for Single-Speed Jacks w/ 12,000-lb Capacity # BD1824200100. This will include the wiring harness, motor, circuit breaker, and rocker switch in weatherproof box. This will allow you to simply connect to a 12V battery.
