Replacement 7-Way Recommendation for 2004 Dodge Ram 2500
Question:
I am replacing the factory seven way plug on mine, and it has a harness plug on the back of it and it has eight wires running into it. Never seen that, what is the propose? There are only seven pins, and the extra wire doesnt show up any power no matter what is turned on.

Easiest solution I can provide for you is to install the Hopkins 7-way part # HM42190 on your 2004 Dodge Ram.
This 7-way uses the same square style connector as you have and will basically only require you to plug it in and you'd be good
