Therma Heat RV Tank Heater Pads Installation

Question:

Hello, I am putting together a cold weather package for my travel trailer. In my cart now I have: 2 - 25inch x 7-1/4inch Holding Tank Heater Pad for RVs - 277-000163 1- 13inch x 3inch Elbow Heater Pad for RVs - 277-000161 1 - 8inch x 3inch Elbow Heater Pad for RVs - 277-000162 I am curious about the wiring. What would be the best/easiest way to power all of the various pads? Do I have to tie in to my Converter, or can I simply tie straight to the battery with an inline fuse? Necessary to tie all into a gang box? How about an on off switch Which one?? I should add that I will only be using the pads while plugged in to AC. So, not worried about my battery at the moment. Thank you in advance! I will try to hold off on my order until I hear back!

To install the Tank Heater Pads part # 277-000164, part # 277-000161, and part # 277-000162 together you will simply need to run them in parallel. This means that you will daisy-chain all of the positive (Red) wires together and connect them to the battery on your RV, and you will daisy-chain all of the negative (White) wires together and ground them.

You can use the Pollak Universal-Design Rocker Switch # PK34310 between the battery and the pads as a way to turn them on and off. Since the switch is rated for 20 amps and the pads will only be drawing 12.52 amps you will not need a fuse.
