Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41944 Compatibility with 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD New Body
Question:
I entered my vehicle info: 2007 Chev Silverado 2500HD New Body and this hitch is suggested. My vehicle does not seem to have the bumper to frame brackets shown in the video but that is a 2006 and appears to be the old or Classicfoot body. Chev changed body styles mid-year in 2007. I dont see comments from 2007 installations so I want to be sure this is the proper fitment for my truck. I like what I see about this hitch, just want to be sure before ordering.

The Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Cast Center - Custom Fit - Class V - 2" # 41944 is a confirmed fit for your 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with the mid-year new body style. This particular hitch is also a confirmed fit for the older classic body style which is why you see the video of the 2006 model. If you look at the installation details you will see that the brace or brackets are only existing on 2001 to 2007 models (so classic style), however this hitch will still work with your frame without those frame brackets/brace.
If you need replacement wiring, I recommend the Reese Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector # 74682 which will connect to your factory wiring.
For a ball mount compatible with the weight capacity of your hitch, I recommend the Channel Style Adjustable Ballmount - 2" & 2-5/16" Balls - 14,000 lbs # C45900. This is an adjustable option to allow you to tow multiple trailers level. It comes with 2 hitch ball sizes to match your trailer coupler. I recommend using the Curt Lock Set for Adjustable Channel-Style Mounts # C23556 to secure your investment.
