Recommended Operation of the Rage Powersports MX600 Carrier When Rear Tire Covers Ramp Pin Hole
Question:
Hello- I own the Rage Powersports MX600 carrier. When its just me unloading my Husqvarna 250, I find that its difficult to engage the included ramp in the guiding hole. What occurs is the bikes rear tire is covering the hole, and the only way to expose it is to rock the bike forward, which prevents you from also dropping the ramp pin in the guiding hole you cant be in two places at once, despite my repeated attempts. Does anyone have a recommended fix to this issue? I think the carrier is pretty good otherwise, only that its tough when youve shown up at the trail head and theres no one around to give you a hand. Thanks

On the Rage PowerSport Steel Motorcycle Carrier MX600 it seems this was a design flaw and the carrier has been discontinued. The only solution we have found for your exact issue is to use the straps like 1" x 18" Tie-Down Motorcycle Assist Straps (Qty 2) # 06303 along with the Erickson Ratcheting Motorcycle Tie-Down Straps w Long Safety Hooks - 1"x6' - 400 lb - Qty 2 # EM05710 to only slightly loosen the hold on the bike and allow it to stay upright as you move the bike forward to install the ramp. Then you can remove the straps with the ramp already in place to unload your Husqvarna 250.
