Using a Brake Controller on 2000 Ford Expedition With Factory 4-Flat

Question:

I have a 2000 Ford Expedition. It has the tow package. I purchased a brake controller that plugs in to the under dash plug / port. It was plug and play with no issues. What I am looking for now is a plug and play harness for the rear of the vehicle. It currently has the factory plug with a flat 4 pole harness plugged into it. I want to remove the current harness and plug in a harness that supports the round 7 pin type AND the 4 blade plugs. Am I asking this right or making it way more confusing??

Since you have the factory 4-way on your 2000 Ford Expedition, there is one other piece you will need to use your brake controller, the 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole Adapter # 37185. You will also likely need a bit of extra wire, # 12-1-1, to install this adapter in your 2000 Expedition.
