Adjusting 5th Wheel Trailer so that it Sits Level with 2017 Ford F-250
Question:
How to adjust for the additional height of my newly purchased 2017 F250 SD diesel 4x4 from my old 2016 F150 4x4. I am having a fixed 20k reese hitch installed in the new F250 truck with 20 inch wheels and tiresand was wondering if what or any adjustments i should do to the trailer, the hitch, the sidewinder kingpin. I ordered the new SWW-01 wedge yesterday to help with the locking. Just wondering if anyone has done this and is there an issue with trailer to truck rail clearances

The Reese M5 Series # RP30921 that you have does have an adjustable height of 14" - 18" to accommodate different towing setups. If you plan on using both trucks to tow intermittently then the easiest thing would probably be to adjust your pin box on your trailer so that it can fit a height setting on either truck at the same time. You will then want to adjust the 5th wheel hitches height in each truck so that it will keep your trailer level.
If you are only going to be towing it with your F-250 then you will simply need to make any adjustments between your 5th wheel hitch and the pin box that allows you to tow your trailer level.
We recommend having at least 5" - 6" or clearance from the trailer to the side rails on your truck whether it is the 2013 F-150 or the 2017 F-250. I have attached a picture to demonstrate this.
As for the wedge you'll want to use the # RP44FR with any Reese M5 Series hitch head for a custom fit.
