Carrying Skis with a Roof Basket on a 2014 Jeep Patriot
Question:
Hello, I am looking for a rec or any info you could provide. I have a roof basket currently on my 2014 jeep patriot. Have you ever heard of ski rack on top of the basket? Would any round bar mountable rack work? Any information or rec would be appreciated!

The rack looks an awful lot like a RhinoRack Roof Basket, part # RMCB. Unfortunately I've never seen a dedicated ski solution for one of these racks. I reached out to Rhino Rack becuase of the similarities in your basket and the Rhino rack, and they recommend against mounting anything to the basket itself.
Instead, I'd recommend that if you have any extra space on either side of your roof rack, mounting a small, 2 ski carrier like the Rhino Rack Ski and Fishing Rod carrier, part # RR572. This easy to use rack is only 15-3/4 inches wide and can be used next to the basket.
