2019 Subaru Forester Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation
Question:
What do I need to tow with a 2019 Subaru Forester?

Expert Reply:
To tow with your 2019 Subaru Forester, I recommend starting with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76271. This hitch has a 2 inch receiver to make it compatible with most accessories so it can be used for things other than towing when desired. The hitch is rated for up to 525 lbs tongue weight and has a really nice black powder coat finish. It is a custom fit, so it will bolt in place.
For your trailer wiring connection, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118467. This is a very well made harness that will connect to your factory wiring to give you the 4-way flat trailer connection desired.
Then for your ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 3" Drop, 3-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black # BWTS10033B. This will give you two hitch ball size options and will also give you the ability to store the hitch ball behind the shank for a very clean look when not in use. I've attached a couple videos to assist. This ball mount is a customer favorite due to the patented function.
