Which Weight Distribution Shank Offers the Most Amount of Drop
Question:
Can I get more than a 9.5inch drop hitch?
asked by: Chaz
Helpful Expert Reply:
The maximum drop for the shank included with Equal-I-zer weight distribution system # EQ37120ET is actually 3 inches. The overall height of the shank is 9-1/2 inches. Drop or rise is measured from the top of the hitch receiver opening to the top of the platform the ball sits on.
For more drop you could use the Curt weight distribution shank # C17125 which offers a maximum 15-3/4 inches drop when measuring as described above. I have also included a link below that covers measuring for rise/drop you can use as a reference.
