If you have purchased a trailer hitch receiver from one of the manufacturers that we carry you can use part # RHK to get the replacement hardware for installing the hitch receiver. Once you get to that part on our site you will simply need to select the manufacturer, say Curt, and then the hitch receiver part number - we could use part # C11474 as an example since it is a confirmed fit for your 2016 Volkswagen Jetta.
Even if you would have received the hardware with the hitch receiver you would have wanted to get new hardware as it is only meant to be torqued down once.
