Your 2017 Kia Sorento has a towing capacity of 2,000 to 5,000 lbs depending on what motor and transmission you have. I recommend checking your owner's manual to make sure you are within the manufacturer's specifications.

For a trailer hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75908. This will give you a 2 inch opening that will allow you to use the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544. This will allow you to tow your pop-up trailer as well as carry the 4 bikes but using an adapter like this will reduce the hitch receiver's tongue weight capacity by 50%. If you don't want to lose that tongue weight capacity you can use ball mount # D210.

If you don't already have the 4-bike rack, I recommend the Thule Apex XT 4 Bike Rack # TH9025XT. This will allow you to carry 4 bikes safely with anti sway cradles and it has the integrated cable lock to secure your bikes and has the integrated hitch lock with anti-rattle. I also recommend the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005 to give you a level transport.

If I were to install the D210 for a bike rack and popup trailer behind a 2019 Chevy Traversr, do I have to look at changing the receiver as well?

As long as your Traverse has a 2" receiver there wouldn't be a need to change anything. The Curt # D210 will slide right into place to provide you with a ball mount for the popup and a second 2" receiver for your rack. Just note that it WILL reduce the hitch's tongue weight capacity by 50 percent (Curt has somewhat recently changed their stance on this).

Wiring harnesses are determined by the vehicle and not just the trailer hitch. For your 2017 Kia Sorento, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118583. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Kia Sorento's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse. I've attached a video to assist. You may also be interested in the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144 which will mount to the trailer hitch receiver # 75908 integrated bracket.
