Availability of Adapter to Allow Bike Rack to Be Carried and Tow Trailer

Question:

Thanks. Maybe I asked a poor question. My HRV does not have a hitch. I was looking at buying hitch part #24932. However, it has 1 1/4 receiver. My Thule T2 Classic bike rack is for a 2" receiver. Is there a hitch with a 2" receiver that will fit my HRV? I don't want to tow, only carry my mountain bikes. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you may be interested in the part # D210. This will fit your 2 inch hitch and gives you a ball mount platform down below and a hitch opening above for your bike rack.

However, if you do not yet have a hitch yet, we have great news. We have the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7322 that has a 2" opening and a 300-pound tongue weight capacity. With this hitch, you could use the Thule Hitching Post Pro 4-bike rack # TH934XTR. I attached a video of these products for you to check out.

I have a solution for you. The Draw Tite hitch part # 24932 you mentioned as that is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Honda HR-V and a good choice. Then, unfortunately, I recommend purchasing an economical class I bike rack like the B01748. This will allow you to carry 2 bikes up to 40 pounds each without any of the problems of an hitch reducer.
