Can Tire Chains Be Used on the Rear Wheels of a 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Question:

I am on my way to purchase the tire chains for my Range Rover Sport 2010 with tires 275-40-20. I see that there is no much clearance on the front wheels. Are you suggesting to install them on the rear wheels? Regards

According to page 221 on your owner's manual. A set of tire chains can only be installed on the rear wheels if they are 19" in diameter. They can however be installed on the front wheels if they are 20" in diameter. Per the manual, before using a set of tire chains on your 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport you must first disable the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system and not exceed 30 mph.

Therefore, I can only recommend that you use the Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains part # TH02230K66 on the front wheels of your vehicle with your current tire size.

You can view the snow tire chain section on page 221 of your owner's manual.
