Locating Weight Capacity on Trailer Wheels

Question:

What is my 5th wheel Rv trailer rim rated for. I have a 3 axle 42foot toy hauler. Keystone Raptor 4014. I found a stamped 3580 lbs and a stamped 117 on the backside of the rim. I want to go to G rated tires up from my current E rated.

The 3,580 pound rating you found stamped on the wheel of your Keystone Raptor may very well indicate its weight capacity. A 16 inch wheel will typically have a weight capacity of around this amount, so this is likely the case. If you are able to locate the manufacturer/brand of the wheel, as well as its size, this will also help to narrow down the possibilities.

If you are able to give me the tire size you are needing, I will be happy to recommend a Load Range F tire that will fit your existing rims. For best performance, you will want the wheels on your trailer to meet or exceed the maximum load of your tires.
