Adding a 7-Way Trailer Connector and Brake Controller to a 2016 BMW X3
Question:
We have a 4 flat. Can we install a brake controller and a 7 way on our car without a rewire. Simple plug and play harness available?

There isn't an aftermarket plug and play type of 7-Way connector for your 2016 BMW X3 with the 4-Way flat. A BMW dealer may have an option but if not a 7-Way can still be hardwired in using # ETBC7. It also comes with the parts needed to hardwire in a brake controller. I have included a couple of links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation.
For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
