Bike Rack for a 2016 Honda Accord With Factory Rear Wing Spoiler

Question:

Greetings, So like the title says, I have a 2016 Honda Accord with a factory rear wing spoiler installed. I'm only going to be transporting one bike at the time, and at the very most two bikes in the distant future. Are there any racks that I can purchase that will allow me to use it on the trunk? Im looking for something thats easy to break down when not in use, as I would like to not drive around all the time with the rack on the trunk area. I always hear Thule racks are great, just not sure which one to get. Many thanks in advance

There are absolutely trunk mounted bike racks that are going to fit on your 2016 Honda Accord with a spoiler. You heard correctly about Thule bike racks, they are highly regarded for their quality. There is one specific Thule rack that will fit your needs perfectly; the Thule OutWay # TH45JV is confirmed to fit your Accord and is simple to set up as well as remove.

This rack holds your bikes with an updated cradling system that has road dampening technology (RDT for short) so there is minimal vibration. The OutWay also utilizes no-sway cages so your bike will not come into contact with your Accord, and in the distant future if you do have another bike to carry, the cages ensure that there won't be any bike-to-bike contact either. Additionally, each of the points that make contact with your Honda, including the hooks that are attached to the rack's cables, are rubberized or coated so you aren't going to see any type of scratches or scuffing.

When it comes to setting up the OutWay, it doesn't get any easier. Thule uses a FitDial system and all you'll need to do is find the number that corresponds with your '16 Accord to make the proper adjustments. When you decide to take it off, the arms fold down to make it much easier to store. This rack has only 2 straps instead of the 4-6 of other racks. It truly take seconds to install or remove. Take a look at the video.

The OutWay # TH45JV also comes with built-in security features to protect the investments you've made in both your bike and the rack. It has lockable covers over the cable release levers to secure the bike rack as well as a cable lock which secures the bike when it's on the rack.

When using a hanging rack like thOutWay, it's possible you'll need a bike frame adapter bar, # 64005, if your bike is dual-suspension, has a step-through frame or you want to carry a small children's bike. The bar will give those bikes a horizontal mounting point so they can be carried by the rack.

I've added a link to a video review of the adapter so you can see exactly how it works, as well as a video review of the OutWay.
