Recommended Canoe Carrier and Roof Rack For 2015 Rockwood Highwall Pop-Up Camper
Question:
Hi! I have a 2015 Rockwood Highwall pop up camper. It has a solid one piece roof. I want to transport my 14 ft canoe on it. Are there any racks you recommend for this type of pop up roof? I worry about drilling holes in the roof and causing leaks. Thanks!

To transport a canoe on your 2015 Rockwood Highwall pop up camper there isn't a good way without drilling, but I can help you to have a secure and watertight seal. The foam blocks just don't hold up well to long distances and highway speeds, so I do recommend mounting a roof rack.
For your application, I recommend the Swagman Roamer LT Roof Rack for Pop-Up Campers and Camper Shells - Steel - 7' Long - 150 lbs # S80510. This rack uses protective rubber pads and metal backing plates. You will need a silicone adhesive like # 0160299 to make this watertight.
For your canoe, I recommend the Thule Portage Canoe Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Gunwale Brackets - Side Loading # TH819 which are compatible with the square load bars of this rack. This will come with the load straps and ratcheting bow/stern tie-down straps. This will allow you to safely transport your canoe on the roof of your camper.
