Will A Trailer Hitch Work with the MagnaFlow Competition Series Axle-Back Exhaust System
Question:
I have a magna flow competition quad tip axle back exhaust on 2011 v6 mustang and I was wondering if this hitch would fit or would the quad tip get in the way? also I have a bike rack that has a 2in hitch hitch receiver on it if I got a 2in to 1 1/4 in adapter would that mess things up at all?

I spoke to my contact at Magnaflow and they informed me that the MagnaFlow Competition Series Axle-Back Exhaust System part # MF15076 should not interfere with a trailer hitch receiver such as the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24863 on your 2011 Ford Mustang. Although unlikely, the rear exhaust hangers can be adjusted to gain more clearance if the exhaust tips make contact with the trailer hitch receiver but again I do not believe they will.
As you have a bike rack with a 2" shank all of our available trailer hitch receivers confirmed to fit your vehicle only have a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening, you will need a reducer like the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # HTAD. The tongue weight capacity of the hitch will be reduced by 50% while using this adapter. To secure the adapter to the hitch receiver I recommend using the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 1-1/4" Hitches part # e98879 and to stabilize the bike rack I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Support Strap part # 18050.
I have attached an installation video of this hitch installed on a 2011 Ford Mustang for you.
