Trunk Mounted Carbon Fiber Frame Bike Racks for a 2018 JCW Mini Countryman

What are options for rear mounted bike rack. We have carbon framed bikes and do not want bikes hanging from rack. They tried mounting a hitch and it failed. Pulled out 2018 JCW Mini Countryman

I have a recommendation for you, but at this time there are no confirmed platform rack rear mounts for a 2018 Mini Countryman.

The best option is the SeaSucker MiniBomber 2-Bike Rack, part # 298-BM2006 . This is a unique rack that uses vacuum clamps to mount to the exterior of your vehicle. It holds the bikes via fork mount and their rear wheel. Unfortunately, this will only be a valid option if your bikes front wheels can be removed via quick clamp or other methodology.

They also offer a single bike version called the Komodo, part # 298-BK1910-BK .

The advantage of this design is that it can mount to the roof or trunk of your vehicle, provided there is a smooth surface and enough space for the wheels to mount.
