Troubleshooting Titan Electric-Over-Hydraulic Actuator With P2 Brake Controller On 2017 Chevy 3500
Question:
I have EOH titan system on my boat trailer and I just bough a 17 HD3500 chevy duramax high country. The truck stock actuator will not run the trailer brakes. The dealer installed a Prodigy 2 and its in EOH mode and will not still activate the trailer brakes. It comes on about a 1/8 of what it should, even in full gain. My trailer repair Co bypassed the titan module and got it to work, but Im not convinced thats the real problem. My question is this, my boat trailer with the EOH titan has the SD adapter on the trailer installed in the wiring titan system that made it work with my previous Chevy. If Im understanding this correctly and now with the prodigy we should not need this anymore and could this just be the problem. Wanted to ask the experts before I bypass. Its a shame that a truck that costs 70k cant have a trailer brake controller that can run electric or EOH. Thanks

Your Titan BrakeRite # T4813102 does not require the adapter like # T4845900 when using the Prodigy P2 # 90885 brake controller. I recommend removing the adapter as it is no longer needed and testing the actuator itself for proper function. If the unit functions correctly with 12V power, then it should work properly when directly wired to work with the Prodigy P2 brake controller. If the unit does not work properly when connected to 12V power, then the unit itself will need to be repaired or replaced.
