Parts to Install Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller 90885 in 2017 Ford Edge with 4-Pole Wiring
Question:
I purchased a 2017 Ford Edge and need to convert the installed 4 pin trailer electric connector to and 7 pin and add a brake controller. It is the SEL trim with optional Blind Spot indicator and cross traffic alert. Which parts would I need? One mechanic ran the ViN and said it came back as a Titanium trim which required a different installation from the standard SEL trim. Can I use the tow vehicle VIN on your website to make sure I get the right parts?

It will be simple to install a trailer brake controller in your 2017 Ford Edge that already has the required 4-pole wiring harness in place.
All you will need is the trailer brake controller itself, and I suggest the reliable Prodigy P2 # 90885, along with our controller installation kit # ETBC7. The kit includes the 7-way socket and all wiring and other parts needed to install the Prodigy.
Your vehicle trim level (SEL vs. Titanium) des not matter for this particular installation. An installation video and helpful article are linked for you.
