Hub Recommendation for EZ Load Boat Trailer with Number 42 Spindle

Question:

I have a 7500# ez- load boat trailer, serial# IZEAANTG76AD12041. MODEL-TEZB-23-25/27.It has 4 12 inch 6 hole wheels at 5 1/2.Hubs are Hd-1206. They are oil bath. The oil seal is #tmc-21334tc.The outer bearing is a LM-57048 measures 1.224 , as close as I could read it. The axle on the inside measures 1-750 or 1 and 3/4 inches. When I tried to order they said I needed the axle capacity.EZ- load is hard to get to.I would like to find out what size brake assembly that will work well for me. Thank You

Thanks for the dimensions of your spindle. From that I can tell you have the number 42 spindle which is a very common one. For a hub that will fit your spindle and has the 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern you need the etrailer.com hub part # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K would be what you would need.

This is a grease hub though which will work on your current spindle but you would fill it with grease and not oil. Many prefer grease as if you were to blow an oil seal the hub is toast and you are stranded whereas with a grease hub if the seal goes out you can easily make it home without ruining the hub/spindle.

For brake assemblies you would want the part # AKEBRK-7L-SA for the left hand side and # AKEBRK-7R-SA for the right hand side.
