Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Towing Parts for 2017 Jeep Cherokee Sport

Which is correct one to purchase for 2017 Cherokee Sport , engine 2.4L It will be for basic lightweight open trailer only. less than 2000 lbs No heavy weight. **Who could/would install it for me? For your 2017 Jeep Cherokee Sport, I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e73ZR. This hitch can be installed by anyone who is mechanically inclined and I've attached a video to assist. If you are not comfortable doing the installation yourself, you can take it to any mechanic you trust. It should take about an hour to an hour and a half to install.

For your trailer wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118605. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead with the attached fuse holder up to your car battery. Connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on the battery and insert the provided fuse. I've attached an article to assist with running this power wire.
