Availability of a T-1 Harness for a 2008 Hummer H3
Question:
Hello I have a 2008 H3 Hummer that does NOT have the factory tow package. I plan on installing an after market hitch. My question is do you have a plug n play wiring kit for this vehicle? Or will I have to splice into the factory wiring? Thanks

As your H3 was not equipped with the tow package, the Hardwiring Kit you referenced, part # 18252 is what you would need.
I have provided a link to an install video you can refer to for assistance. The video shows the 4-pole being installed on a different vehicle, but the procedure would be the same. You would use the tester to probe the wiring behind your tail light assemblies, to determine which circuit to tap each wire of the harness into. have a helper activate the right turn signal, and probe each wire behind the passenger side tail light assembly until you locate the wire that makes the tester light up. Tap the green wire into this circuit. Then, go to the drivers side. Activate the head lights. Probe each wire until you locate the circuit that makes the tester light up. Tap the brown wire into this circuit. Activate the left turn signal, and probe the wires until the correct one is located. Tap the yellow wire into this circuit. Ground the white wire to the vehicle, and you are done.
I would also recommend a mounting bracket, part # 18144.
