Availability of Extra-Long Ball Mount and Hitch Extension for 2-Inch Hitches

Question:

I need a solution for lengthning the distance between my Jeep and boat trailer. I have a 2inch receiver. The boat and trailer weigh under 2000 lbs.. Is there anything out there that can extend the distance 3 or 4 feet? Better yet- anything that can slide / extend from the trailer to give me that distance at the boat ramp?

Hitch extenders such as the Curt 18-inch model # C45796 and the others shown on the linked page can give you more space between vehicle and trailer but they do so at the cost of reducing your hitch's capacity by half. This is true for virtually all such adapters.

There are longer extensions that do not reduce capacity but these extenders such as the 4-foot TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension # TLE1548 require that your tow vehicle have their specialized dual-receiver SuperHitch.

There are also extra-long ball mounts like 14-1/4-inch long # BM20 that DO NOT reduce your hitch's capacity, but these are not available in such lengths. You can see these on the other linked page.
