The Reese Mounting Bracket Kit # RP58186 will work for your vehicle as long as your truck is equipped with overload springs. On the 2500 series Dodge Ram, there will be two extra rubber jounce bumpers installed over the spring pack on both ends. These will be 10 inches from the spring attachment points. If you see these, then you have overload springs. You can also have the dealer run your truck's VIN number to see if overload springs were included among the factory options. If you determine that you have overload springs, you will also need the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP30035 to install this kit.

If you determine that you do not have overload springs, I recommend a custom kit like the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Dodge Ram, # C16420-204. This vehicle-specific kit utilizes holes already existing in your truck frame, thus minimizing the need for drilling. This kit includes the brackets, rails and necessary hardware for installation.
