Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2016 Kia Soul

will the hitch that i removed from my 2011 kia sportage bolt on the frame of my new 2016 kia soul? i have a handicap carrier for my hitch

I checked and none of the available trailer hitches that are confirmed to fit the 2011 Kia Sportage will also be compatible with your new 2016 Kia Soul. In order to use your hitch-mounted carrier on your new vehicle, you will need to install a new trailer hitch.

For your Kia Soul, as long as it is not the EV model, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class I Sport Frame Receiver Hitch # 24915. This hitch is custom-designed for this vehicle and no drilling will be required for installation. This is a Class I trailer hitch that will provide a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening and a 200 pound tongue weight capacity. You will just need to make sure that the combined weight of your carrier and contents do not exceed this capacity. I recommend this Draw-Tite model over the Curt hitch also confirmed to fit this vehicle because unlike Curt, Draw-Tite does not require the use of stabilizing straps like # 18050 for non-trailer loads such as your carrier.
