5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kit Positions for a 2011 Ford Truck
Question:
I understand that the Reese underbed system for the 2011 Ford when installed sets the centerline between the pucks over the axle centerline. Is this correct? Also for all other model Reese Underbed the center line is 1 1/2 to 2 ahead oif axle center line, is this correct. The new Reese Elite hitch has 2 settings for the head, one that is needed for the 2011 Ford that move the center line back 1 1/2 fromthe axle center and when used on all other trucks the setting needs to change to ove it back, is this correct?

You are correct. On the 2011 Ford trucks, with the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, # RP30126, installed, the center line will be over the rear axle. I have included a link to the installation details so you can see the specific measurements involved.
On some installation kits, the center of the hitch jaws will be 1 inch in front of the rear axle. On others it will be approximately 1-1/2 inch forward of the rear axles. It varies slightly among the various installation kits.
Regarding the Reese M5 Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, like # RP30921, I have not heard of the adjustment specifically for the Ford trucks that you have mentioned. I have included a link to the instructions for the hitch for you to view. I did not read any specific instructions for Ford trucks. The head does not move front to back.
