For your 2004 Cadillac DeVille, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class II Frame Receiver Hitch # 36287. This Class II trailer hitch is custom-designed and confirmed to fit your vehicle. It has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening and a 3,500 pound towing capacity, although you will also want to check the capacity for the vehicle itself as listed in the owner's manual. I recommend this hitch over the Curt alternative also confirmed to fit your vehicle because unlike Curt, Draw-Tite does not require the use of stabilizing straps like # 18050 for non-trailer loads (bike racks and cargo carriers).

If you are looking to do some towing, I recommend the Tekonsha 4 Pole Harness # C59496 to install a 4-Way connector on your vehicle to hook up to and power the trailer's rear signal lights.
