The Tekonsha Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 119178 does not require a power wire. It captures the functions without needing direct power to the module from the battery. The module has an integrated short circuit protection to prevent overload. This harness is a confirmed fit for both the Coupe and the Hatchback model.
